Abstract
The article describes how during the covid-19 pandemic ethnography changed, and how during the crisis researchers into ways of life approached people. On the basis of their experiences during the pandemic, the authors present the opportunities for modernising, enriching and improving ethnography with the help of digital technologies that open up new research opportunities and establish platforms for field research, where researchers can coexist with people in time but not necessarily in space.
