Abstract
Handheld laser scanning point clouds collected in spring 2020 from 8 plots in Evo, Finland. The data was collected with a Zeb Horizon (GeoSLAM, UK) handheld laser scanner and processed with GeoSLAM hub software with forest SLAM and loop closures enabled. The point clouds are in scanner coordinates, and scan trajectories are provided in the "Trajectories" folder.
The plot numbering is consistent with the other point clouds available through the SCANFOREST research infrastructure. (https://www.scanforest.fi/data/)
The tree attributes were calculated from this data in Muhojoki J., et al. (2024) Benchmarking Under- and Above-canopy Laser Scanning Solutions for Deriving Stem Curve and Volume in Easy and Difficult Boreal Forest Conditions.
